DRMM was honored to be selected as the host site for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Detroit Homelessness Listening Session featuring Dr. Robert Marbut, Senior Advisor in HUD’s Office of Community Planning and Development.More than 60 agencies from across Michigan came together for this important conversation on the state of homelessness in America.Dr. Marbut shared key insights, including national data trends since 2007 and how shifts in funding and service models have impacted homelessness over time. Discussions highlighted the importance of wraparound services and the need for a more balanced approach to housing and support. As we look ahead, there is a renewed focus on creating a more effective system—balancing permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, and critical support services.Attendees were encouraged to ask questions and offer their feedback to the presentation. We’re grateful to have hosted such a meaningful dialogue and to stand alongside partners committed to real solutions. 💜#DRMM #HomelessSolutions #SupportiveHousing #HomelessnessInAmerica … See MoreSee Less
