As part of our unwavering commitment to serve and uplift our community, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM) is proud to announce a series of Summer Community Outreach Events aimed at meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in the neighborhoods surrounding our shelters.
These events will offer meals, toiletry items, fellowship, and prayer—creating a safe, welcoming space for connection and care during the summer months.
We’re kicking off the season on Thursday, July 10, with Georgia’s Day – A Special Day for Women, held in honor of Georgia, a beloved former DRMM employee who dedicated her life to serving women in Detroit’s Cass Corridor. Georgia’s Day will take place every other Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM at the DRM Shelter and is focused on celebrating and uplifting women in our community.
Additional outreach events include:
- Community Day of Prayer – Genesis House II
Friday, July 18 | 11 AM – 2 PM -
Community Day of Prayer – DRMM Gratiot Campus
Friday, August 1 | 11 AM – 2 PM -
Community Day of Prayer – Christian Guidance Center
Friday, August 15 | 11 AM – 2 PM
“These outreach events are more than just services—they are a reflection of our mission to rebuild lives and restore hope,” said Dr. Chad Audi, President and CEO of DRMM. “By coming together in prayer and service, we can create lasting change for individuals and families in need.”
All are welcome. For more information or to get involved as a volunteer or sponsor, please email kwoods@drmm.org or call (313) 993-4700. X3930
