DRMM’s Annual Easter Basket Giveaway

At Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM), every holiday is an opportunity to share hope, joy, and tangible support with families in need across our community.

This Easter season, we are preparing for our Annual Easter Basket Giveaway, and we invite you to be part of the blessing.

Supporting Families Across Our Community

Each season, in addition to providing baskets to our family shelters, DRMM partners with community organizations and surrounding cities to distribute Easter baskets to local children. These collaborations help us extend joy and support to even more families throughout our region.

Easter is a special time for children, and a thoughtfully prepared basket can bring smiles, encouragement, and a reminder that they are loved.

How You Can Help

You can help us spread joy this Easter! Please review our wish list here and support by donating: 

  • Pre-filled Easter baskets
  • Candy and individually wrapped treats
  • Small toys and books
  • Stuffed animals
  • Gift cards
  • Basket supplies (baskets, grass, wrapping, etc.)

All donations must be received by March 30. 💜 Whether you donate individual items or fully stuffed baskets, your contribution helps us make Easter brighter for families in need.

Annual Easter and Backpack Distribution

Each holiday season DRMM adopts and average of 2,000 families. We then partner them with a sponsors that will purchase items from the family’s wish list.

We welcome support from businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals to become a sponsor. We will match you with the size and number of families you would like to sponsor. Sponsors are accepted until November 1st each year.

DRMM partners with the community to distribute Easter baskets in the spring and backpacks to children between August and September every year. We can always use donations of baskets, backpacks and supplies.
