Angela’s New Beginning: “I thank God for bringing me to DRMM . . .”

Angela made the decision to stop the addiction that had taken everything from her. She trusted God, who led her to DRMM where our Christ-centered programs helped her get a second chance in life!

“My life just turned upside down,” Angela says, remembering how helpless she was to break the hold addiction had on her.

“Drugs took everything from me, and I was going down, down, down. I stopped taking care of myself and being responsible. I was living away from my family, and I didn’t have a job. I couldn’t keep a job . . .

“It started to wear me down, and it took a toll on my health,” she says. “But thank God, He brought me out of all that because I was so tired of being sick and tired. I was tired of feeling like I wasn’t human anymore . . .

“I didn’t want to live like that anymore. I wanted to change my life.”

Angela found the lifesaving, life-changing help she needed at DRMM and today, she is on a new path in life.

“DRMM has helped me so much, helped me get my priorities in perspective, helped me to gain a sense of direction, and get back on my feet. I’m coming up on two years clean now. I’m just grateful for the people who work here . . . they helped me get to where I need to go.

In addition to DRMM’s staff and volunteers, Angela is thankful to God. “I give God the glory. Without Him, I don’t know what direction I would be moving in. I’m thankful that He directed me here so I can get on my feet, to be responsible and a productive citizen in our community.”

“I just want to share that DRMM is a truly good place in this world.”—Angela
