Warming Centers Are Open Now To Provide Respite from Cold Weather
DRMM answered the call. 💙After a call from WXYZ-TV Channel 7 DRMM stepped in to support New Birth International Church in Pontiac, now serving as an emergency Safe Tonight shelter for 50 families—housing over 70 people, most of them children, during this extreme cold.We provided 30 mattresses, hot dinners, toiletries, and more. Thanks to our CEO Dr. Chad Audi who reached out to our partners Say Detroit and The Qazi Foundation, nearly $100,000 was pledged for staffing, a new roof, and a new furnace to keep families safe and warm. 🤍Community. Compassion. Collaboration. 🤍#drMM #wxyzdetroit ##pontiacmichigan #emergencyshelter … See MoreSee Less
