Mothers
Today, I do not want to honor celebrities, politicians, wealth, or power.
I want to honor the people who quietly held our world together when no one was watching.
Mothers!!
The older I become, the more I realize that some of the greatest human beings who ever lived never stood on stages, never received awards, and never had their names celebrated publicly. They stood in kitchens. Beside hospital beds. At bus stops before sunrise. In shelters. In tiny apartments. In refugee camps. Late at night, beside their children, they prayed for their children to have a better life than they had.
A mother’s life is often a long sacrifice wrapped in unconditional love.
Many of the greatest acts of love in human history were never recorded or applauded. They happened quietly.
A mother skipping meals so her children can eat. A mother crying silently in another room so her family does not see her pain. A mother working endless hours, exhausted beyond words, yet still finding the strength to ask, “Are you okay?” A mother carrying fear, stress, and heartbreak in silence because she refuses to let her children feel unsafe.
That is greatness. That is heroism.
One day… without realizing it… many of us will pick up our phones to call our mothers, only to suddenly remember she is no longer there.
And in that moment, everything we once thought small becomes priceless. Her voice. Her prayers. Her waiting for us to come home. Her saying, “Did you eat?” Her worrying about us even as she herself was suffering.
The older I become, the more I understand that mothers are not simply part of our story… They ARE the story.
Behind almost every strong person is a mother who carried burdens no one ever saw. A mother who believed when others doubted. A mother who forgave when others walked away. A mother who kept loving even when life gave her every reason not to.
To my mother… Thank you for every silent sacrifice I was too young to understand. Thank you for every prayer whispered while I did not even know you were afraid. Everything good in me began with your love, your faith, your tears, and your strength.
Today, I ask everyone reading this: If your mother is still alive, love her loudly. Call her back. Visit her more often. Listen to her stories, even the ones you have heard a hundred times. Because one day, more than money, titles, success, or achievements… you will miss her voice the most.
To every mother in the world: You may never fully realize how many lives you saved, healed, shaped, and inspired simply by refusing to give up.
The world may celebrate power, fame, and wealth… But Heaven surely celebrates mothers.
Happy Mother’s Day to every incredible mother whose love became the invisible force carrying generations through life. ❤️
