It was a pleasure to welcome students from Wayne State University and the Wayne State: Department of Communication as part of their new course, Artificial Intelligence and Communication Work. DRMM was the non-profit chosen to use for their final projects and AI-powered communication prototypes to the leadership team at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.Throughout the semester, students partnered with DRMM to develop innovative communications strategies using AI platforms. Earlier in the semester, DRMM Director of Communications Chiara Clayton also had the opportunity to speak with the class as part of a panel discussion on how artificial intelligence can be leveraged in nonprofit communications and public relations, sharing practical insights on balancing innovation with authentic storytelling and community engagement.Their projects included:🔹 A Microsoft AI Workforce Training Program campaign for returning citizens🔹 An informational and promotional campaign for DRMM's Lighthouse Food Bank🔹 A Seasonal Kits donation campaign to support our shelter clientsThank you to Dr. Rahul Mitra, Associate Professor, Dept. of Communication, and Director of Graduate Studies at Wayne State University, for selecting DRMM as a service-learning partner, and to the students for your creativity, innovation, and fresh ideas to help strengthen our messaging and expand our impact in the community.#WayneState #ArtificialIntelligence #NonprofitCommunications #PublicRelations #ServiceLearning #DRMM
