Detroit, MI — The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM) is proud to announce its 2025 Weekend of Healing Summer Camp, a transformative and therapeutic experience designed to support youth whose parents have died due to opioids or parents who have experienced an opioid overdose in Metro Detroit through grief recovery, life skills development, and emotional healing.
The Weekend of Healing Camp is open to young people (12-16) from Wayne County and will take place over (2) three-day weekends, gender-specific, at Wildwood Ranch in Howell, MI.
Girls’ Camp: June 20–22, 2025
Boys’ Camp: July 18–20, 2025

This immersive, weekend-long camp will offer complimentary services and experiences for all campers, including:
Training in Narcan use, first aid, and CPR
Basic survival skills and hands-on learning activities, such as horseback riding
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and emotional support sessions led by licensed DRMM clinical staff
Conflict resolution, coping strategies, and life skills development
By interacting with animals and nature, participants will explore new paths to peace and healing. The camp aims to help youth process grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment, rediscovering a sense of purpose, confidence, and connection.
